Since the end of 2011/start of 2012 Facebook has included custom emoticons that anyone can use on chat and on messages. On Facebook it is possible to convert any image in emoticon by including its ID among square parenthesis (e.g. [[ID]]). Same can be done with user profile or page profile pictures, by typing the ID or the username among square parenthesis (e.g. [[username]])
